Leopard plant is a "MUST HAVE" for the shade
garden. You control the gold spots by the amount of light you give the
plant. On left is dark shade; on right several hours of sun (too much).
Either way, you get beautiful daisy-type flowers in the fall! |
 |
 |
Left: Toad lilies (Tricyrtis "Miyazaki")are
great for fall color in the shade. Right: Colocasia "Black Stem" makes a
bold statement in partial shade. |

Hydrangea paniculata Pink
Diamond is a late bloomer that is more sun tolerant than many hydrangeas. The
bloom is similar to an oakleaf hydrangea and a lacecap.(By the way, it is still
beautiful on October 16. The blooms have aged to a brownish-pink.)

The hydrangeas are in full
bloom. We have several different types of bloom-lacecap ("BlueBird"), curly
mophead ("Ayesha"), shades of purple, white mophead, 'red' mophead, and oakleaf
hydrangea.
